Stop by the gallery this Saturday from 11am-6 pm where member-artist Gay Bryant will be demonstrating the relief printmaking techniques that she uses to create her artworks.  Gay will show how she produces her one-of-a-kind printing plates which are made by hand-carving linoleum, wood and blocks of plastic and how these plates are then inked and hand-rubbed to make original prints.  The relief printing process is an ancient method of producing art dating back to 550 BC when Egyptians used relief printing to produce designs on fabric.

Art Market Gallery is located at 422 S. Gay Street next to the Downtown Grill and Brewery.  Call 865-525-5265 or visit  www.artmarketgallery.net
