I believe that Source/Life/God/Brahma/Energy "
whatever you name it", created each of us with particular gifts that we can discover, enhance, develop, improve, and use in the service of co-creating a more whole and loving world. Wholistic and quantum thinking informs me that everything is affected by all my actions, thoughts, contributions, and creations.
I don't know what affect my actions have, but I can wholeheartedly say that I feel more honest, integral, clean, and hopeful when I operate within those standards. I have, and believe that we all have, a holy/divine discontent to be more. I maintain, albeit naive or childish, the belief/possibility that an Awakened World is possible. Human beings will actually evolve and function using the highest qualities of our species.

On a recent California coast drive, we stopped for strawberry shortcake. It was like having a visit with "momma" too since she LOVED strawberries, planted them, picked them, made jam, jelly, preserves, frozen, canned, and every other possibility for years. She LOVED going to strawberry patches and picking and picking. She had fond memories of doing that as a kid too. I digress. Treasured momma visits from the other dimensions.

During the shortcake stop, I was deeply struck by this sign and way of operating their payment processes. Look carefully-Yes, it says, Honor Till-Make your own change. Put larger bills in a designated slot. (I had the thought, that would support our human-ness to stay Honorable). I was speechless. I couldn't really comprehend it for a minute. The owner noticed and observed how visibly moved I was. With tears and great big eyes, I let him know I'm with him. I'm a dreamer too. Maybe, just maybe-there is another way for us to be.
I have been dreaming of and planning to be a teacher since my earliest memories. I had a little book when I was young that was a place to record my "School Day Activities". This included a pocket for photos, memorabilia, and other treasures. I still have that little book stored with my "one" box of treasures that I allow myself, because it represents a roadmap to mySELF. From age 3 to 12, I consistently wrote in the blanks of "What I Want To Be" -- Teacher. The only other variance was an occasional "Astronaut". I've reflected on this many times over the years and reconciled it by believing my teaching is "out of this world." No one can be more surprised than I am to hear that some people actually value and benefit by what I bring forth!
To the degree that I can teach, lead and speak well, somehow by grace, God has gifted me grandly, and helped me get my false self and limited thinking out of the way sufficently to demonstrate it.
I've been a teacher through many professions other than classic teacher over the past 40 years. None of the teaching was in accordance with the standard teacher model. That was also clear to me from the beginning. Whatever teaching I was to do, would look differently than the accepted norms.

This holy discontent comes with a fair share of stress, distress, and emotional toil. A relentless calling and commitment to "end suffering". Hard work. It is easy to see that through my deepest despairs of wanting to change the world, again through grace, I have somehow maintained the resilience and stamina to take another giant and intentional step in the direction of "it is possble". I can clearly see that I haven't known despair. In the larger spectrum of humanity, emotions, physical needs, pain and suffering, I have been completely spared.

I continue to be bolstered and heartened by many of you, your devotion to self realization, your generous spirits in the way you live and serve, your visionary creations, taking a stand and like me, taking another giant step in the direction of CREATING A WORLD YOU DREAM OF. Together, we can do what we can't do alone.
|
And if you ever can't find other ways to motivate yourself, perhaps this list from the heart and hands of a child in social services as they were "dreaming" of a family-will inspire you to action. God help me to not take even a coat, comb, food, water, covers and not being hit for granted, EVER AGAIN.
|
May the dreams of this child and every child be reality, now and now and now. Holy spirit come forth to move us into no more harm of anyone or anything. Awaken us to another way. Amen.
