January was the beginning of a back to basics for me in several ways. I began listening to books again DAILY, not just when driving, as part of a spiritual, expansive practice. My deepest heart is that of a student. Learning vitalizes and inspires me, and at the same time provides fresh new approaches to what I've been out doing in the world for 20 years now. Since practicing this for two months now, I drew an angel card from a deck I used many years ago and this was the message-"Now is the time to learn, study, and gather information. Enjoy being a student because, in the future, you will synthesize your knowledge into action." While this seems affirming and validating, I also have very concrete experiences from the past of this proving to be TRUE. Deep breath.

One of my favorite teachers over the years is Dr. David Hawkins, PhD. His first book
Power vs. Force was life altering for me in the best of ways, including how to systematically look at a map of consciousness, notable with obvious consequences, AND lay a pathway of liberation and freedom resulting with any change I could make upward. Real rewards. This leaves me more hopeful too, in that any exponentially "small" change, provides an exponentially "LARGE" benefit. All these years later, and many trips around the mulberry bush, I now have the experience of this truth, not just the theory. Dr. Hawkins died in February 2002. I honor his life and his teachings with gratitude. Here's a link to listen or learn:

Dr. Hawkins trusted the calibration of his writings and took non-traditional publishing routes with them, believing that if the calibration was true, his books would naturally find their way into the world. Apparently, it was true. Oh, and he was funny too.
Now, about SURRENDER. How appealing is surrender? Really? Ever had these thoughts? I'm not letting go, because it condones the behavior, they need to learn better, they are wrong, they are a problem, they are the matter with me.
I must let go--surrender to it all, for it all, for my own sanity, peace of mind, energetic vitality, clear thinking, creative flow, resourcefulness, innovation, and wholehearted life experience.
It's helpful to remember there is something that works 100% of the time. There is ONLY ever one thing I have to do when I am "stuck" or "bound" to something, somebody, some situation, some opinion, some wanting, shoulding, needing, blah blah blah.
That one thing is to: LET GO OF THE PAYOFF I'm getting for hanging on to any position I'm holding on to. If I hate someone, I am stuck on the satisfaction and pleasure of hanging on to that. I am not stuck on the hate or the someone. I am stuck on the "high" of righteousness or the high of drama. Payoffs include strange and subconscious patterns.

What are your payoffs? What are the consequences you bear? These questions I continue to learn from.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes, gifts, flowers, prayers, and joy. If you made a monetary contribution to the newsletter, which supports these teachings, ideas and support reaching all of humanity--THANK YOU!! Please continue to give to whatever in the world that benefits your mind, body, soul, spirit.

I will be in Florida throughout March and then into the "heartland" of TN, KY, OH, IN for April and May. Sure hope to see you. Until then, I SEE YOU.

Much love and much letting go as a gift to me and you,

"Repressed and suppressed feelings require counter-energy to keep them submerged. It takes energy to hold down our feelings. As these feelings are relinquished, the energy that had been holding down the negativity is now freed for constructive uses."
~ David R. Hawkins, Letting Go: The Pathway of Surrender
"I just realized that I don't have to have an opinion about everything--what a relief!"
~ David R. Hawkins

"We change the world not by what we say or do, but as a consequence of what we have become."
~ David R. Hawkins
"The truly humble cannot be humbled. They are immune to humiliation. They have nothing to defend. There is no vulnerability and, therefore, the truly humble do not experience critical attacks by others. Instead, a truly humble person sees the critical verbalization by another person as merely a statement of the other person's inner problems."
~ David R. Hawkins, Letting Go: The Pathway of Surrender

"Handling an emotional crisis leads to greater wisdom and results in lifetime benefits. Fear of life is really the fear of emotions. It is not the facts that we fear but our feelings about them. Once we have mastery over our feelings, our fear of life diminishes."
~ David R. Hawkins, Letting Go: The Pathway of Surrender
