4th Annual Martin Richard Memorial Mile
Thursday, August 17th 5-8 PM
Come Run, Walk or Roll with us.  We can make this the largest Para Track event of the summer while  honoring Martin Richard and his message of Peace.  Last year Paralympian Chaz Davis took top honors in the elite field, while Maddy Wilson won the youth wheelchair division.  This year University of Illinois junior Katrina Gerhard, and Nichols College freshman Chris Kimball will headline the women's wheelchair division and men's blind/visually impaired division while triple amputee Muji Karim will return looking to best 6:30 this year!  All ages and performance levels welcome.
Adaptive category participants may enter the adaptive 400m race, the 1-mile age group running races, the 1-mile wheelchair race, or the recreational, untimed, community mile.  If you need a running guide, e-mail [email protected].

Adaptive Sports New England, in partnership with U.S. Paralympics, will host the 2017 Northeast Para Swimming Development Clinic at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst November 17-19.  This clinic, for developmental and emerging Para swimmers, will feature sessions on planning and mental preparation, small group training sessions, and individualized technique work.  National-level Para swimming coaches, joined by current and former U.S. Paralympics national team members, will lead all sessions and will be available throughout the weekend for informal conversations.  The specialized coaching and the camaraderie of Para swimmers from across the Northeast will prep swimmers for school or club competition as well as for 2018 Para swimming meets.  Pool, dryland and classroom sessions will give swimmers short- and long-term training strategies and specific training tips to bring home.
