FEATURED BOOK
Sexual Intelligence
Sexual Intelligence

With engaging stories from his private practice, Marty shows how our ideas about sex - and ourselves - are more important than a perfect body or exotic techniques.

Sexual Intelligence  offers a robust perspective that makes it impossible for people to fail at sex, because they don't aim for success.

ABOUT US

Each month, Sexual Intelligence™  examines the sexual implications of current events, politics, technology, popular culture, and the media.

Sexuality Training with Dr. Marty Klein

September 27, 2013 (4 hours CE)
Woodland Hills, CA

After an affair, the betrayed person typically demands a lot of information. Why should we limit this, even if the betrayer wants to provide it? How much of a voice should the betrayer have in deciding if the children are told about the affair--and what they're told?

Although most therapists say they use a "systems approach," it's hard to maintain that perspective when we simply see a selfish betrayer and a heartbroken betrayed.

This seminar will explore how to support the dignity and humanity of both parties--to give a couple the best chance to reconcile.

October 25-26, 2013 (14 hours CE)
Ft. Lauderdale, FL

People poison their erotic space with narratives of failure, unresolved existential issues, secrets, and shame of every possible kind.

The standard "dysfunctions" don't begin to cover it. Patients' request for better "function" is a plea to improve sexual experience without changing the self or the relationship.

In this seminar, I'll present a different way to conceptualize cases--leading to different clinical strategies, and more importantly, to better outcomes. If you like, bring a case to discuss or role-play.
