Hello Animal Friends,
We are in our new location in Holbrook MA for 4 months now. All is going well and the animals are doing fine. Animals seem to adjust quicker in a homey style environment and loving every minute of it. The animals get a taste of home life and when they get adopted the transition seems to go well. We have rooms with windows and rugs. We have a kitchen that the cats love and the closed in back porch. The small back yard is great for the dogs to hang out and get some fresh air, plus they go for long leash walks every day. There is an area for new comers to be quarantined and then ready for adoption and or become MHS residents.
We have a small area to hold one small animal until they get adopted and find a loving kind home of there own. But we are looking for foster homes for our Rabbits, Guinea Pigs and Birds. If you can help in being a MHS Foster Home for Small Animals, please contact us.
Massachusetts Humane Society is desperate for Dog Foster Homes, we are looking for one or two dog foster homes. If you have the time and have experience with dogs, contact us. Mass Humane Society pays for all the supplies and the dogs will be fully vetted and cared for medically to be adopted.
Being a Dog Foster Parent is a commitment and a temporary place for the dog - however, it sure is rewarding in many, many ways when the time comes and the dog is off to a new beginning of life - wagging his/her tail!
Even if you can only foster one dog once in awhile, contact us. There is a Massachusetts Humane Society Dog Foster Home Application to fill out and we do a meet & greet with you at your house.
Thank You
Joanne & ALL the Animals and MHS Volunteers
