Massachusetts nets best state ranking from U.S. News & World Report
It ranks 47th in affordability but when more than 60 other metrics were applied Massachusetts emerged as the best state in the country, according to rankings released on Tuesday. The state's supreme billing was propelled by a number one ranking in education and number two in health care, metrics that were given more weight by analysts at U.S. News & World Report based on a survey of what matters most to people. Wequassett Resort and Golf Club earns Forbes five-star recognition for second year
Forbes Travel Guide has unveiled its annual Star Rating list, naming Wequassett Resort and Golf Club as a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel for 2017. Wequassett Resort and Golf Club remains the first and only property on Cape Cod to earn the Five-Star accolade for the second consecutive year. Read more here.

Mass. home sales hit new high for the month of January
The Massachusetts Association of Realtors reported that the 2017 real estate market started strong with the most closed home sales in a January since MAR began recording the data in 2004. Continuing buyer demand pushed closed sales up more three percent over last year. Single-family median prices also saw a hike over last year. Condominium sales and median price closed up in January as well. Read more here.
