Maxim Partners is pleased to announce that Eric Sledgister has joined the investment team as a Principal overseeing Maxim's education vertical. He will also support the firm's activities in the wellness sector.
Eric has nearly 20 years of experience in education. He joined Maxim from Apollo Education Group (one of the world's largest private providers of higher education), where he held various leadership roles. Most recently, Eric served as the Chief Financial Officer of Apollo's Professional Development Group, focused on delivering tailored employee development and training solutions to enterprise partners. Prior to that role, Eric spent approximately seven years in Apollo's Corporate Development Group, where he sourced, evaluated, and executed acquisition opportunities around the globe. His foray into education came in 1999 when he joined the industry leading equity research team covering the education services and training sector at Credit Suisse. Eric spent approximately eight years at Credit Suisse where his coverage expanded to include the business process outsourcing, diversified services and information technology services sectors.

Sledgister earned his bachelor's degree with a concentration in finance from Washington University in St. Louis. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Chicago.
