North America's BIGGEST PowWow!

The move to the new venue on the Powwow Grounds at Tingley Coliseum  was great! Everyone had a great time. The dancing and singing was at championship levels. The sound and lights inside Tingley Coliseum were spectacular!  And the Tee Pee Village was a great new addition to North America's Biggest Powwow. Below are some highlights from the event, visit our website www.GatheringOfNations.com  for more event photos!

Presenting your 2017-2018 Miss Indian World

She:kon my name is Raven Iakonie:ien Swamp and I am proud to be your 2017-2018 Miss Indian World! I  am a 23 years old, I am a Mohawk of the turtle clan and I live in Kahnawa:ke, Q.C.
With four years experience, I currently teach my language at Karihwano:ron, my local Mohawk Immersion School. Aside from the language I am also passionate about gardening.  Together a group of friends and I have begun a grassroots community garden initiative where we are promoting traditional whole foods, self -sufficiency and collective planting practices.  Language revitalization and Indigenous Food Sovereignty are important issues to me.
During my time as Miss Indian World I would like to focus on the importance of these issues.
