IMPORTANT Update, May 8th, HHSC CMS Meeting and Revised Draft DY7-8 DSRIP Program Funding and Mechanics Protocol, Craig Kovacevich, Assoc. VP, Waiver Ops & Community Health Plans, UT Medical Branch at Galveston : HHSC is still in negotiations with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) on the request for an additional 21 months (January 1, 2018, through September 30, 2019). This draft PFM is contingent on CMS negotiations and approval of the protocols and on any applicable actions by the Texas Legislature.   Please read all information in the linked document, which includes a summary of key changes from the first PFM draft, information on minimum point thresholds, next steps on the release of the Measure Bundles Protocol, and plans for a webinar. New CEO Named to Medicaid and Chip Commission, HHSC
Dallas-based Parkland Health and Hospital System CEO and President Dr. Fred Cerise was named one of several new healthcare leaders appointed by the U.S. Comptroller General to the Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission. As a member, Cerise will serve as a national advisor to Congress on issues affecting Medicaid and CHIP.
