Welcome to the May issue of Insight from Grasp Technologies.  We have a BIG issue for you this month.
First, we have a white paper on Traveler Tracking Technologies from BTN. We have also published the May training schedule for you as well as some news and announcements including some new back office capabilities and our "Tip of the Month."   If you have not done a "Grasp Refresher," now is a great time to see everything that Grasp is doing in the marketplace and to help you and your clients.  We have a section on "Hosted Exchange," a Grasp offering that continues to grow in popularity among our clients.  We also have updates from our Enterprise and Emerging Markets.  Lastly, have a short update on Dave's book.

 White Paper: Traveler Tracking Technologies


Travel managers say the ability to track travelers directly affects their ability to perform their job, but how to manage the tracking still presents issues.  


According to a summer 2012 AirPlus International survey, the use of traveler tracking systems was the most common standard procedure in event of an emergency. (The Wire...from AirPlus, August 2012: Traveler Safety and Security) As risk management continues to remain top of mind and new technologies augment traveler tracking abilities, AirPlus surveyed 130 corporate travel buyers this winter to better understand how travel managers were tracking their travelers.

Grasp June Training Center Schedule


Each and every week we are offering free trainings and refreshers on our products, new releases and capabilities.  You can sign up for these weekly webinars and get a refresher on all of the features available to you, send new employees to learn more, etc. 


We are limiting each training session to 25 participants.  Trainings are offered on Grasp Data, Report Builder, the new Where Are My Travelers Interactive Grid, and many of our other solutions!

As Grasp continues to grow and add clients all over the world each month, we feel it is important to make sure we highlight how to best receive the support you deserve and need.  The best way to receive support is through emailing support@grasptech.com.  While, we love speaking with our clients, many of our staff are in meetings throughout the day and working with clients.  As such voice mails from phone calls are not able to be returned as timely as you will receive assistance from our support email where we have dedicated staff.  Please make sure you are using this preferred method for any needs you have.  Thank you!

Grasp Adds New Back Office Capabilities


Grasp is always working with new data sources around the world and we recently added two more to those that we are working with.  Sapeig is system in Europe and the France market and Quicktrav is system that is predominantly in South Africa.  We are working with many others right now and will release them as they come online. 


If you have any questions about our work with these systems, have any partners that use them that could benefit from using Grasp or are maybe looking to do consolidation with partners on these systems, please let us know.



Grasp at GBTA


GBTA is being held in Grasp's back yard of San Diego this year!  We are excited that we will have a chance to see many of our fiends and clients.  Grasp will have representation at the events during the show.  More importantly, we are planning some really unique gatherings and happenings around the show for Grasp clients and partners.  If you are attending and would like to learn more about what we are doing, please let us know at sales@grasptech.com.  Stay tuned for more details in our newsletter at the end of June!

Tip of the Month!

Create Report Categories in Grasp Data!


You can create Categories for your "Go To Reports."  This is an excellent way to keep track of the reports you are using on a day to day basis.


You do not have to remember the report name or number, once you have set up your categories.

Below are a couple new announcements for these divisions:


Enterprise Markets

  • More and more corporations are looking to Grasp to assist them with better data consolidation and analytics.  Credit Card Reconciliation continues to be a strong need, as is, the ability to regionalize and departmentalize data based on HR Hierarchy.  With our modular pricing models, we can assist companies of all shapes and sizes.
  • We are soon completing our expense reporting integration with leading expense management company, DataBasics.  Additionally, several Months ago, we established a strategic partnership with Gorilla Expense.
  • Will you be attending the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) meeting in San Diego this August?  Since our headquarters are in San Diego, we are planning something special for our great clients.  Stay tuned.


Emerging Markets     

  • In May, we welcomed several new Australian clients and our first South African client to the Grasp family.  Thank you for all of your support.
