Imaginate

Infinite combinations and possibilities await you in Imaginate, a hands-on exhibit designed to pique your creativity and challenge your imagination.
	Create paper airplanes and test your aerial manufacturing skills by sending them down a wind tunnel. Or step on the scale to see what wingspan you’d need to take flight.
Test properties of materials to see how nature has directly inspired many inventions. Step inside a room of sound and lights to orchestrate a musical masterpiece.
	Become the director of your own stop-motion animated film or invent something new by tinkering with traditional and non-traditional materials.
Designed and built by the Ontario Science Center.

Memorial Day Weekend

Join us Memorial Day Weekend and enjoy special pricing to see our summer exhibit, Imaginate. Admission for the museum and the exhibit will be $5 per person for all guests over 18 months of age on Saturday, May 28, Sunday, May 29, and Monday, May 30.

Membership Family Fun Night

Celebrate the end of the school year with us! The Mayborn Museum Complex is inviting our membership to get a glimpse of the imaginative activities that we have planned all summer long. In addition to our newest traveling exhibit, Imaginate, members can enjoy magic by Cody Fisher, innovative tinkering in a new makerspace, and family games and food in the historic village.

Event is free for all museum members but reservations will be required. Invitations will be mailed in May with details. A membership is required for attendance.

Discovery Room Renovations

Exciting updates are coming to the Mayborn Museum! We are overhauling of some of the Discovery Rooms in the Harry and Anna Jeanes Discovery Center. Beginning the first week in June, the Neighborhood, Transportation, Optics, and Sound rooms will be closed for renovation. Many of the popular exhibits from Transportation including the school bus and fire truck will be moved to the Baylor Exhibit Hallway during the summer.

Stay tuned for details of the opening of Play Waco and Light & Sound this fall.
