New 2017 High School Mock Trial Nationals Sponsorship

Professional Development Opportunity
The James Madison Legacy Project is a professional development opportunity for civics teachers using the We the People Curriculum.  

Participants will receive a stipend, mileage and tolls, meals, overnight accommodations, and a free classroom set of We the People: the Citizen and the Constitution. They will commit to pre- and post-testing for themselves and their students, 40 hours of class instruction, and class participation in a simulated congressional hearing.

2016 Forensics Competition

This year's competition will take place on May 17th at the Elk's Lodge in Hartford. Registration fee is $30 per team. 

Teams will consist of three students each. Schools may register as many teams as they wish. The times for the competition will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch will be provided.

The 2016 Middle School Debate Quarterfinal, Semifinals and Finals will be held at the CT Bar Association in New Britian on May 18th starting at 9am.

THS Finishes 8th at WTP Nationals

The Trumbull High School We The People Team finished 8th at the National Competition in Washington D.C.!  Trumbull High won the Connecticut Regional Tournament in December 2015, click below for more pictures and media coverage of the teams success!
