Kimberly Behan, a Culinary Arts student at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, was recently recognized as the winner of The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale's Heiko Dobrikow Board of Trustee Scholarship at the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association's (FRLA) Excellence in Education Gala.

The recently established Heiko Dobrikow Board of Trustee Scholarship is a series of four $1,000 scholarships for culinary students enrolled at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. Behan, who is earning her Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts, was among 10 other scholarship winners at the gala. Tommy Kim Memorial Scholarship

Tommy Kim, a 2010 graduate of the South University AA Program, lost his battle with cancer in March 2016. The faculty and leadership of the program have decided that it would be most fitting to establish a Memorial Scholarship to honor Tommy, which will be awarded annually to a senior student from the South University AA Program. Donations are tax deductible and total donations will be matched this year up to $3,000 by an anonymous donor. Please make checks payable to "The Education Foundation" with "SU Savannah: Tommy Kim Memorial Scholarship" in the memo line of the check, sent to 210 Sixth Avenue, 33rd Floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15222. Credit/debit card donations can also be made at www.educationfdn.org, and select "Donate Today!"
Schools may borrow our card swipes to process credit/debit card at any event. The processing fees are paid for by The Education Foundation. If your school is interested in using a card swipe, please contact Development Director, Andrew Weckman at aweckman@edmc.edu
