All Month Long
HIA-LI 14th Annual Summer Food Drive - Now through September - Calling all small businesses in Nassau and Suffolk Counties!!  Join the nation's second largest small business food drive this summer!  Over 200 businesses partner for this good cause of collecting food donations!  Interested in team building?  Host a friendly competition!  Raise food and help Long Island Cares distribute 100,000 pounds of food this summer!  Register today.
 
Our Spring Food Drive runs through the end of the school year! Need last minute community service hours? Or does your honor society want to make one last effort to give back this year? Register to host a food drive. We need kid friendly snacks for the summer months!



Week of May 2nd
Thursday, May 5th - Stop by our Information Booth at the Wyandanch Youth Center Job Fair, 20 Andrews Avenue Wyandanch. 10 AM - 1 PM.

Saturday, May 7th - "Collect for a Cause" and enjoy breakfast! Applebee's of Baldwin is sponsoring a LIVE concert featuring Long Island musicians: The Waffles and Tony Max with food drive donations coming to Long Island Cares! Please contact Chapters Community Support Services at 1516 476 6271 for more information.
 
Saturday, May 7th The Survival Race - Long Island IS HERE! And they brought along a food drive! Long Island Sports Park in Calverton is hosting the 5K Obstacle Race. Don't forget to stop by the Long Island Cares booth, near registration, to drop off your non-perishable food donations! We'll be there by at 8AM
 
Saturday, May 7th - The Long Island Beltaine Festival has once again sponsored a Long Island Cares Food Drive! This event is hosted at the UU of Huntington, 109 Browns Rd, Huntington.


Week of May 9th
Tuesday, May 10th - Join us at Meadow Brook Club in Jericho for our 20th Annual Golf Classic!  Register or help us by volunteering!
 
Friday, May 13th - Long Island Craft Beer Week and the 2nd Annual Craft Cares Beer for a Cause starts today! Trade two cans of non-perishable donations for 1 can of Craft Cares Brew, collaboration between all your favorite Long Island breweries...1940's, Barrage, Blue Point, Brickhouse, Destination Unknown, Lithology, Moustache, Port Jeff, Sand City, Spider Bite, and Twin Forks! Trade your cans at those locations and more to come!

Saturday, May 14th - Our Legislative Pet Food Drive continues!! Legislator Kate Browning will be collecting pet food donations for us at Shirley Feed and Farm, 675 Montauk Hwy. Shirley, NY 11967 from 11:00am to 3:00pm.


Week of May 16th
Wednesday, May 18th - New York Martial Arts of Huntington is hosting self-defense training with all proceeds coming to LI Cares!  The class will be at 147 Woodbury Road in Huntington. Call 631-549-9612 for more information and to register!
 
Thursday, May 19th - Help us Stuff a Truck full of food, toiletries and paper goods! YES, we take more than food! Meet us at theAmityville Stop and Shop from 10AM to 6PM
 
Thursday, May 19th - HIA-LI Tradeshow - Stop by our booth at Long Island's largest tradeshow! 300+ small businesses and corporations and thousands of attendees! Long Island Cares will be on site to register members for the annual HIA-LI Summer Food Drive and collect donations! 9AM-3PM at Suffolk Community College, 1001 Crooked Hill Rd, Brentwood NY 11716

Saturday, May 21st - Sachem Library's Annual Adopt a Pet Fair and Pet Food Drive for Long Island Cares! Drop off pet food at the library now through May 21st! And stop by our booth to say hello. The event is at the Sachem Library 150 Holbrook Rd, Holbrook from 10AM-2PM  
 
Saturday, May 21st - Help us Stuff a Truck full of food, toiletries, and paper goods! YES, we take more than food! Meet us at the South Setauket - Stop and Shop 10AM-6PM

Don't forget the fur babies! All Long Island Petco locations are official pet food donation centers for Long Island Cares. We accept pet food for ALL pets including but not limited to dogs, cats, ferrets, bunnies, caged pets, reptiles, fish, and others. Please note only unopened pet food and new accessories are accepted.
