May 2017 E-Bulletin
General Election 2017

In the eight week period in the run up to the 8th June, CaSE is seeking to raise the political profile of science and engineering as an election issue.

As in previous election campaigns, CaSE's Director and Chair have written to the leaders of the political parties, inviting them to set out their policies on science and engineering. We've sent these letters alongside a pre-election briefing, setting out the benefits of science and engineering and describing what a thriving environment for research and innovation would look like.

Meanwhile on CaSE Comment, our Director has written about how this election will impact upon science and engineering.

CaSE will be publishing the responses to the letters, as well as analysing manifestos, setting out priorities for the new government, and refreshing our MPs and Peers to watch lists.
You can remain up-to-date with all our election work on our 2017 election webpage.
