"Wings for All" Landed in Houston on April 18!
 
On April 18, in Terminal E at Bush Intercontinental Airport, the staff of United Airlines, TSA and George Bush Intercontinental Airport along with The Arc of Texas, The Arc of Houston and The Arc of Fort Bend hosted a "practice" airport experience for children with disabilities. With their parents, the kids were able to practice obtaining their boarding passes, passing through TSA security, waiting in the boarding area and boarding an airplane. While on the
plane, they buckled up, enjoyed a beverage and snacked while they listened to the Captain's
announcements. They were able to familiarize themselves with the seats, tray tables and aircraft restrooms. Wings for All™ gave the airport, airline and TSA professionals the opportunity to observe, interact and deliver their services in a structured, learning environment.

The Arc's Adult Social Recreation Program is a members-only club for individuals with I/DD living in Fort Bend County. There is an application process that is updated each year.
