May 2018 Prayers
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. -John 14:27
Week 1: May 1-8
Mental illness is so often untreated. Prayers of thanks for a project by the Christian Health Association of Ghana to use motorbikes so more than 200 Community Mental Health Nurses and Officers from the CHAG Network can provide mental health care in their communities.

CCIH Affiliate MUSUHUM – Mouvement Universel pour la Survie de l’Humanite (Universal Movement for the Survival of Humanity) located in Niger offers praise for the Lord Jesus Christ, and requests prayers to soothe the hearts of the destitute, and for blessings on Musuhum's staff and their families. May they be granted with the grace to always bring a smile to those in need.
Week 2: May 9-16
Pray for safe travels for Dale Ressler to Tanzania in a fact-finding trip to determine future program planning with Shirati Hospital and its clinics and also for advising another group on Christian medical work that that they are looking to start in southwest Tanzania. Pray for the Nepal Cancer Foundation and its project to build a 100-bed Cancer Hospital in Itahari in eastern Nepal. The Foundation is raising funds to finance the hospital, which will provide services to patients from Nepal and near-by India. 
Week 3: May 17-23
Pray for students graduating from Christian universities. Praise for a very special annual international conference for PRIME (Partnership in International Medical Education) with leaders from five continents and delegates from many countries. Prayers of thanks that God is opening the door to PRIME’s medical and nursing education programs in universities, hospitals and Christian healthcare associations in many new countries. Praise that the vision spreads as tutors are taking the responsibility of training new tutors.
Week 4: May 24-31
Pray for the work of Emmanuel Hospital Association’s Landour Community Hospital and its Samvedna Project which serves disabled residents in the area. Pray for their new Dhana Disability Resource Center, which will enable them to do even more for those in need.

May 28 is World Menstrual Hygiene Day . Prayers of thanks for the work of the Institute for Reproductive Health at Georgetown University to educate girls on their bodies and the work of It’s Our Mission! Period to provide sustainable hygiene solutions and reduce stigma.
