Creating generosity through preaching

A symposium on preaching and stewardship featuring Dr. James Forbes, is set for June 12 - 14, 2012, at Christian Theological Seminary, Indianapolis. Beginning with worship and an address by Forbes at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, the following days include a workshop with him on how to introduce a culture of generosity into the messages given to congregations. Other resource lectures include the Rev. Dr. Lance Pape (Jesus and Money), the Rev. Dr. Carol Johnston (Wellsprings of Generosity), the Rev. Dr. Ronald Allen (remaining Cycle B lectionary texts) and Rev. Bruce Barkhauer (relationship between trust and generosity). Read More

Pastors Conference made a little more affordable

The opportunity to be re-energized at the Pastors Conference Oct. 2 - 4  in St. Louis is made a little more accessible thanks to the generosity of some faithful Disciples. Don't miss this opportunity to join other pastors for inspiration by Phyllis Tickle, Otis Moss III and Andra Moran.

 

Does your church average less than 100 on Sunday morning? Have you never been to a Pastors Conference sponsored by the Office of General Minister and President? If you answer yes to either question, you may be eligible for one of 110 scholarships of $150 toward the registration fee for the Pastors Conference.
