Student Shoutout

Fifth grader Basil Akhtar participated in the "Tri the Rock" triathlon competition in Castle Rock, representing STEM School Highlands Ranch.

Basil placed 8th out of 135 boys and girls in his age group and 6th among boys in his age group. This was his first triathalon since moving from Michigan a couple of years ago and he wasn't able to train due to a very busy soccer season and school. This makes his placement even more amazing!

Join us in celebrating Basil's accomplishments. Way to go!

Family Buddy Program and School Directory

The Family Buddy Program serves to welcome and acclimate new families to STEM School Highlands Ranch while also serving to strengthen the bonds between our families and the school community.

The program matches a new family with an existing family who has children of similar ages and grade levels. Once you have been paired with a family, you will receive an email with each other's contact information (only the information you are willing to share). Then you can get in contact with one another.

The Family Buddy Program is now part of our school directory called My School Anywhere.

How to add your information to the school directory:
  • Simply click here  and type in our School Code: STEMSchoolHighlandsR.
  •  If you are a current family, add or update your family information including your children's current teachers.
  • If you have a Middle or High Schooler, choose "no class selected" for teacher.
  • If you are new to the school, please select only the grade your children are currently in for the 2017-2018 school year and "no class selected" for teacher.
  • If you want to be matched with a buddy family, click on Sign Up at the top of the webpage or by clicking the three lines at the left top of the app.
  • Select Sign Ups Available and choose 2018-2019 Family Buddy Program.
There are thirteen events planned for this summer to bring buddy families together and to have fun with the STEM community. Events include picnics at the park, an ice cream social, Pirate's Cove and even book club for parents. Click here for all the event information and put the dates in your calendar now!

Support STEM All Summer

Summer is here! And you can continue to support our school through the summer with our retail programs. Pick up a reloadable King Soopers or Safeway card at any one of the school offices. Sign up for the Scrip program and use it all through the summer for your movies or dining or shopping. Keep collecting your milk caps and box tops through the summer and deposit them in the appropriate receptacles at the middle school entrance. More information on all our retail programs is here
Thank You!

A HUGE thank you goes out to all the parents who helped plan, supported or attended an event or fundraiser with STEM PTO this year. We could not be the strong and resourceful community we are without all of your help. Thanks for a great year from STEM PTO and we look forward to seeing you again in August!
