FY 2018 HAF Counseling Program Application
Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) has opened the Housing Assistance Fund (HAF) Counseling Program Application for Fiscal Year 2018 (FY 2018).

, under Resources, Partners, Housing Counselors. Applications must be submitted no later than 11:59 pm, ET, on Friday, June 2, 2017, to be considered for funding. No exceptions. Please send completed applications to [email protected]. Applicants must meet Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) minimum requirements to become an approved housing counseling agency, including local housing counseling agencies, agencies that part of larger intermediaries or multi-state organizations (including those agencies that have sub-grantee relationships with KHC).
Applicants must score a medium to higher on KHC's Agency Capacity Scoresheet. KHC will not approve requests for waivers of this threshold.
Available funds will be awarded based on the total Housing Assistance Funds purposed for housing education and counseling, the agency's score on the Capacity Scorecard, past performance, and on projected future performance.

KHC's Minimum Credit Score Requirements Lowered
Effective today, KHC is lowering the minimum credit score requirement on government loans from 640 to 620, and from 680 to 660 on conventional loans. All guides have been updated to reflect this change on KHC's website, under Lenders.

KHC offices will be closed Monday, May 29, 2017, in honor of Memorial Day, and will reopen on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at 8 a.m., ET. No loan purchases or TPO Closings will take place on Memorial Day.
