Electives and PE for Next Year
2018-2019 Course Registration forms were handed out to students today and emailed home earlier this week. You can review the Hillview Course Catalog here. Fill out the form with your student and return it to the office by Monday, May 14.  Students who have missed the deadline will be assigned electives based on availability rather than their choice for electives.

Oak Grove Bike Route - Yea or Nay?
The Oak Grove Bike Route, which was installed on a trial basis last year, is currently being evaluated by the city of Menlo Park. The route was specifically designed to help students biking to Hillview and M-A get across El Camino safely and provides dedicated bike lanes along Oak Grove and University Avenue. The city will only make the bike lanes permanent if the community wants them. To provide feedback to the city, fill out the survey here
For more information on the project, visit the Oak Grove webpage here .

Site Council Meeting
Tuesday, May 8, 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. in the large conference room in the Hillview Office. A collaborative group of parents, staff, and students meets monthly to evaluate school-wide goals and actions in support of the Hillview mission to empower all students to be resilient problem solvers, compassionate contributors, and lifelong learners during their journey of academic and personal growth. We will be discussing the Panorama survey results. Here is the agenda. All parents in our community are welcome to attend.

Vaping and JUULing

Hillview Talent Show 2018
Friday, May 11 and Saturday, May 12, 6:15 p.m., Hillview PAC. The legendary (in our own minds!) Hillview Talent Show 2018 is upon us and you are cordially invited to attend this wacky, phenomenal, stupendously ah-mazing performance here. Not only will we be featuring some of Hillview's very talented musicians, dancers, singers, and more, but Hillview ASB has cooked up a few hilarious (and equally bizarre!) surprises to keep you entertained as we tell the story of three Hillview 8th-grade students who get Trapped in the TV!
You'll laugh. You'll cry. You won't check your watch! Buy your tickets to this very popular annual event. All proceeds benefit the Hillview student council which funds our amazing activities program including clubs, fun Fridays, spirit games, and Hawkapalooza! Thank you for your support!!

WARNING: Both shows typically sell out and we only have a VERY limited quantity of obstructed view seats at the door. Buy online and guarantee yourself admission.

DOUBLE WARNING: We are not professional actors and we will (badly) ruin a song you probably adore. Did someone say teacher skit?!?

Don't delay! Buy your tickets here. Any questions, email here.
