Cleveland Marathon Kickoff Challenge!
Are you ready for a challenge? 121 Fitness Center is asking you to walk or run the distances of the Cleveland Marathon races every week, for 3 weeks, until the actual Cleveland Marathon! 

Begins Monday, May 1st!
Here's how it works:
  • You will choose which distance you would like to complete over one week. Your options include: 10k (6.2 miles), half marathon (13.1 miles), or full marathon (26.2 miles). 
  • Once you select the distance you would like to walk or run per week, then you must solely walk or run these miles as planned exercise! This means, walking to your car after work does not count towards your mileage; your mileage must be PLANNED exercise.
  • You can plan exercises such as taking a 2 mile walk at lunch, running for 1 mile before work, walking 3 miles on the treadmill at 121 Fitness Center, and so on. Your mileage can only be completed by walking or running (since that's what the marathon walkers & runners will be doing).
  • Keep track of your daily and weekly mileage. If you achieve your goal mileage (10k, half marathon, or full marathon distance), you will be entered to win our weekly raffle for your race tier.
  • Here is the daily tracking sheet to help you keep track of mileage!
  • By Tuesday at noon, you will be asked to email [email protected] your daily and weekly mileage from the previous week. Again, if you meet your race distance, then we will enter you into the raffle drawing for fun prizes! Please feel free to include what type of exercise you completed, as well. Ex. "4 mile run," or "2 mile walk," or "1 mile interval sprint," etc.
  • The challenge will run from May 1st-May 21st.
  • Week 1 will be from Monday, May 1st- Sunday, May 7th.
  • Week 2 will be from Monday, May 8th-Sunday, May 14th.
  • The final week, week 3, will be from Monday, May 15th-Sunday, May 21st (the day of the Cleveland Marathon).
  • Please note: competing in the actual Cleveland Marathon is NOT required! This is just a fun way to stay motivated.
