Emerson Open House & Birthday Celebration
May 12, 2017
5PM-8PM

We hope you can join us to help us celebrate our birthday! This is a great time to stop by and see what's new at the Emerson. Also, our tenants have some special things planned in their studios to help us celebrate. Come enjoy live music, refreshments, and the opening receptions for our new exhibits!

Mobile Mondays
May 15  through September 25, 2017
11AM-2PM

Join us every Monday (excluding Memorial and Labor Days) for Mobile Mondays at the Emerson! Grab a bite to eat from one of Bozeman's local food trucks, pick out a new outfit from a fashion truck, and enjoy art and additional shopping throughout the building. Trucks will be parked on the north side of the Emerson on Babcock Street.

Emerson's Anniversary Logo Competition

We have a big year coming up! Our historic building is turning 100 and our nonprofit organization is turning 25. To celebrate these milestones, we are searching for a custom logo to compliment our current design for one year. Our purpose and mission is to serve our community through the arts and culture. The support of our community brought us to this milestone so what better way to involve our friends and supporters than through a logo design competition?

Thank you, Bozeman!

This week we were thrilled to learn the Emerson Center for the Arts & Culture was awarded Best Event Venue and Best Art Gallery in the BoZone's Best of Bozeman 2017. Thank you Bozeman! We're ecstatic to know you love the Emerson as much as we do! We work to build community through the arts and culture so it is awesome to receive this award from the community!

Featured ExhibitS

Efflorescence
By Danielle O'Malley

Jessie Wilber Gallery

Ms. O'Malley's work is a reflection of her interests in the natural world and morphology. She is drawn to horticultural imagery and the alluring qualities of a plant's unusual shapes and mutations.

Ancient Lifeforms

By Steve Osman

Lobby Gallery

This series represents two of the oldest life forms on earth, lichen and Sandhill Cranes. Both of these species have helped Osman explore and develop his unique artistic style.

Behind The Wool

By Meghan Purcell & Lauren Lipscomb

Weaver Room

Shaped from a collective vision, Behind the Wool emerged as an artistic collaboration and investigation into the challenges Montana sheep farmers face in present times.

All galleries are free and open to the public.

These exhibits will be on display May 12 through July 7, 2017.

An opening reception will be held during the Emerson's Open House and Birthday Celebration on Friday, May 12 from 5:00-8:00PM. Please join us!
