PHH Mortgage

PHH Mortgage has been temporarily occupying two different office spaces in Amherst with plans to eventually relocate all staff into a single location. Building construction is currently underway for their new Williamsville location and we have been staging over the last few weeks as new product arrives in preparation for install.

Workstation panels are the first to go up as we work alongside electrician and data crews to complete the first 150 stations. Once completed the combination of first and second floor spaces will accommodate approximately 630 workstations as well as private offices, meeting areas and break space. Stay tuned for more updates on our progress!

About the Cause:

Special Spaces Buffalo creates dream bedrooms for children with life threatening illnesses. Special Spaces is a non-profit organization, it is 100 percent volunteer run and relies entirely on the generous donations of its contributors to provide our kids with their very own special space.

Getting Involved:

"I've been volunteering with Special Spaces Buffalo since August 2013. I learned of them from a weekend morning news story and it just kind of reached out and grabbed my attention. The first bedroom makeover I was part of was for Ashley. After that weekend I was hooked.  The core team is amazing and continues growing. We have volunteers who paint amazing murals, print and install vinyl murals that cover entire walls, build furniture, create gorgeous window treatments, donate furniture, and even more!

Since then the awareness of Special Spaces Buffalo has grown an extraordinary amount, and unfortunately there is never a shortage of children in need of their own special space. When I first began volunteering I was told they usually completed about eight to ten rooms a year. There have already been five makeovers in three months in 2015!"

Upcycle Tip
Our Design Team Says:

"You know that awesome vintage suitcase you found at a garage sale/thrift store, your grandparents' house, or even the creepy part of your attic? It's beautiful, but the lock doesn't work, its heavy, or just plain inconvenient to use. So what do you do with it?

1. Turn it into a bar! Simply place it on a table and fill it with your favorite liquor and glasses.

2.Book shelves!Tired of your books always falling over? Give them a new home in your suitcase! Simply stand your books up inside. Want to be fancy? Separate the suitcase halves, place them against the wall, drill screws into each of the four corners and viola!

3.Dog bed! Why not give your best friend a unique place to relax? Just tuck your pet bed into the suitcase! Use any inside pockets to store favorite toys."

India:
An Art within Itself

When traveling to India for the first time in November of 2014, I was intrigued by many of the cultural differences.  Things that immediately stand out are the sounds of the many riksha horns blowing in the bumper to bumper traffic, the brightly colored saris with ornate patterns that the women wear, the wonderful spices and aromas of the food and mostly, how everything is an art within itself....Read more
