Garden Workday Volunteers Needed

Healthy Lifestyles is asking for your help to prepare our beds for the season! We are seeking volunteers to help with our Garden Workdays on May 6, May 13, and May 16. Tasks include: garden bed tilling, weeding, re-stringing garden beds, and unloading mulch and compost. Times and locations are listed on our Facebook event page, or at the bottom of this bulletin, under "Community Events."
Rules of the Road
A Bike Rodeo participant practices turning.
Last month at the Marshfield Children's Festival, the Physical Activity committee helped to put on our 7th annual Bike Rodeo.

At the Rodeo, kids learn the importance of wearing helmets, basic bike safety and hand signals, and then try their skills on our bike course. Over 100 kids rode through this year!

Josh Miller guides a Bike Rodeo participant through a figure 8 drill.
If you need a refresher on the rules of the road, we have the information you need: You can find PDFs of selected biking guides on the

Wisconsin Bike Fed website. We also have physical copies of these guides in the Healthy Lifestyles office, email us if you would like some for yourself or to share with others.

And don't forget your helmet!
