It has been a busy spring connecting with supporters all over the state. Ellie Hayes and I have traveled from Kansas City to Springfield and everywhere in between! We held two Women in Science & Entrepreneurship events, one in Kansas City and one in Columbia. In Columbia, Maxine Clark, founder of Build A Bear, took the time out of her busy schedule to meet with female business owners, be the keynote speaker at the WISE luncheon at Stephens College and speak at the Regional Economic Development Inc event. In Kansas City, Dr. Doris Taylor, was the keynote speaker at the WISE breakfast at the Stowers Research Institute. The sold out crowd enjoyed hearing Dr. Taylor speak about her research of building a heart from stem cells. At both events, we connected with long time supporters and made new friends.
We continue to build our network of volunteers as we travel around the state. We could not continue to promote and protect research in Missouri without the help of so many people who care deeply about moving cures and therapies forward!
Warmest Regards,
