Take Root With Growing Gardens!
Growing Gardens  has a goal of getting 50  new Perennial Donors! Perennial Donors are an essential part of our organization.

By choosing to donate monthly, your contributions make our work in home gardens, school gardens and correctional facility gardens possible. Small monthly contributions can go a long way.

Home Gardens has just wrapped up a whirlwind garden-building season this spring. The 2017 cohort of gardeners has 52 families (18 primarly English-speaking and 34 primarily Spanish-speaking). Over 100 volunteers helped build backyard gardens over the course of 3 weekends in April. 9 teams of families, friends and coworkers collectively raised $8,556 for our annual Spring Dig-in garden-building and   [click here to read more]

Growing Gardens would like to thank Gilgamesh Brewing, Nicky USA, Pok Pok who have partnered to create a wonderful Rhubard Shandy as a part of their Chef's Beer Series, $1 from each 22oz and a portion of each keg sold will be donated to Growing Gardens! This delicious Shandy is available at all Pok Pok locations as well as Green Zebra Grocery, Zupan's Markets and metro area bottle shops! 

We would also like to thank Linda Daily. Linda is the artist who graciously let us use her art for our Perennial Donor Campaign, and donated a raffle prize to our campaign! 



Willamette University students spent a day in the garden at Stephen's Creek Crossing,  a Home Forward affordable housing development in SW Portland. They did a general clean up of the garden area and prepped the common area beds to get them ready for spring planting. Lots of work was done in spite of the on and off again rain and everyone had a good time
