A CHRISTMAS STORY (BROADWAY)
A Christmas Story, The Musical is returning this holiday season. The show's producers, including Peter Billingsley, who starred as Ralphie in the original 1983 film, are holding open auditions to find exceptionally talented kids for the upcoming production of A Christmas Story, The Musical. We are looking for the next Ralphie, his friends and classmates, including: Randy, Flick, Schwartz, Scut Farcus, Grover Dill, Mary Beth, and Esther Jane.
Seeking boys and girls ages 8-13 who sing, dance and act. Kids should be under 4' 11". Boys should have unchanged voices. No experience is needed to audition.When: Sunday, May 5th at Pearl Studios (500 8th Avenue, 12th floor)
Registration begins at 11:30 with auditions from 12:00-5:00.
To prepare: For the audition please prepare a brief song that is rhythmic, classic Broadway, and shows off your voice and personality. Please bring sheet music-a pianist will be provided. Please also bring a headshot (or some kind of picture) and a resume if you have one.
A Christmas Story, The Musical begins rehearsals in NYC October 7th. The production will run through December 29, 2013. This is a paying job, in accordance with AEA guidelines. 11-15 YEAR-OLDS FOR LEAD ROLES IN FEATURE FILM ST. VINCENT DE VAN NUYS
OLIVER (M, 11 - 14 Years Old, Caucasian), MAGGIE'S son, he's skinny and frail with glasses, painfully awkward, very sensitive, and highly intelligent. OLIVER befriends his belligerent neighbor VINCENT, reforms the school bully, and navigates the tricky relationships he has with recently divorced parents.
ROBERT OZINSKI (M, 11 - 15 Years Old, African-American or Latino), the school bully who tortures OLIVER, until OLIVER wins his respect by breaking his nose in a fight at school. Afterwards, they become inseparable companions.

ANNIE (BROADWAY)
Seeking girls, ages 6-12, between the heights of 3'8" and 4'8". Must be excellent singers, dancers, and actresses. To be considered for future replacements for Annie and the other orphans in the Broadway company. All ethnicities are encouraged to attend. Please bring a photo and resume stapled together!

What to prepare / bring: Please come prepared to sing a short contemporary musical theatre song a capella that shows off your voice. We are asking all those auditioning to also have sheet music on hand for that song in the event that you are asked to sing along with accompaniment. Please bring snacks and beverages as you may be asked to stay for a few hours.
