May 2018

Dear Religious Education Families,

You are invited to join us next week for our end-of-the-year  prayer service and May Crowning in the church during class time.  Please drop your child(ren) off for class and then head to church.  The classes will join you there.

After the prayer service, we will have refreshments for you in the Canfield Center and you can take advantage of Early Bird Registration in the Main Hallway of the school.

The catechists and staff thank you so much for sharing your children with us and for the support you show to the program. We hope and pray that every member of your family has grown closer to Jesus Christ over the past nine months.

For those whose youngest child will be headed off to high school in the Fall, our
prayers go with your child and we will miss you! Encourage your high school children to stay close to their parish family by participating in the Spirit Youth Group, serving at Mass in whatever liturgical ministry they were trained for, and participating in other parish events. Continue to be good role models for your children by being faithful to Sunday Mass and remembering to pray as a family every day. Know that even though you may not have a child in our program, our Religious Ed staff is always here to answer questions and help your
family in any way that we can.

For those with children who will be returning next year, we will look forward to seeing you again.

May God bless every parent and child in our parish family and may you have a safe, restful and awesome summer!

In Christ's love,
St. Paul Religious Ed Staff

First Communion
Congratulations to our children who celebrated their First Holy Communion this past Saturday, April 28th, and to all of their families who prepared them so beautifully for their special day.

Remember:  All children with religious gifts from First Communion should bring these gifts with them to class next week.  One of our priests will bless these items at our prayer service.

Confirmation Practice
Confirmation practice will be held on Thursday, May 3rd from 7 - 8:30 pm in the Church.  This is a mandatory practice.  If your child is unable to be present at the rehearsal, it is REQUIRED that the confirmation sponsor or a parent  be present.  If the sponsor is unable to attend the rehearsal with the child, it is strongly recommended that a parent stand in for the sponsor during the rehearsal.

Remember:  All 8th graders with religious gifts from Confirmation should bring these gifts with them to class next week.  One of our priests will bless these items at our prayer service.

Discounted Fees for Religious Education
Discounted fees are available until May 31st. If you need a special payment plan, just talk to us and we will work with you.  If you are not certain about what class time will work best for your family in the Fall, you can always change it without penalty.
