" I am pleased and honored to have celebrated Dr. Shrink's 25th year in business a couple weeks ago.  I want to say thank you to all who helped make this milestone possible. It was fun to take a trip down memory lane while looking through some of our old marketing materials and products (pictured above). I am proud of the entire team here at Dr. Shrink- we have some of the best employees around.  Thank you all for supporting and working with Dr. Shrink and I am looking forward to the next 25+ years with all of you!

Recycle Your Shrink Wrap! Recycle
Recycling your shrink wrap cover is something everyone should be conscious of. Dr. Shrink's 100% virgin resin material will not biodegrade in a landfill, so it is extremely important that it is recycled. Shrink wrap can be recycled into a variety of usable products such as garbage bags and construction plastic. Dr. Shrink, Inc. cares about preserving the environment and has two recycling programs in place that are easy, effective, and trouble-free. 

Our  Recycling Run Program makes recycling a breeze. This program is only available in the Great Lakes states: MI, WI, IL, IN, and OH. Click here for more information or visit  www.recycling-run.com. 
 
Our REBAG® Recycling Kit is another option that works in every state in the continental U.S. This is a very easy program - all you have to do is purchase a REBAG® kit (consists of a 30" x 50" clear bag with cover removal directions printed on it, a closure device for the bag and a prepaid FedEx shipping label) and stuff the bag full of shrink wrap.  Once the prepaid shipping label is on the outside of the bag, you can call FedEx to come and pick it up or take it to a FedEx service center. Each REBAG® will hold approximately 600 square feet of plastic or the cover from a 26' boat.

If neither of these programs work for you, we ask that you please call around to local recycling facilities in your area and see if they will accept this premium #4 LDPE (low density polyethylene) plastic. Please help us in our efforts to properly recycle this premium plastic!

Recycling your shrink wrap is extremely important - and easy!  All you need to do is make sure to remove any strapping, zipper doors, vents, etc. and use a Film Knife to cut the shrink wrap cover above the perimeter band. Ball the cover up and stuff into one of our recycling bags and that's it!
