July 2018
Mini Maker Faire coming to Mead
Mead Public Library is set to host the first-ever Sheboygan Mini Maker Faire , featuring hands-on demos and workshops for people who love to tinker and make things.

This one-day, family-friendly event is designed to showcase creativity, invention and DIY resourcefulness. Admission is free.

The faire runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, at Mead and coincides with the Midsummer Festival of the Arts at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center and the Fairyfolk Festival at Bookworm Gardens.
Mead unveils new logo
Mead Public Library has its first new logo in nearly 30 years.

The logo, which was designed by Sheboygan-based Idea Works , reflects the dynamic nature of the library today and the dramatic transformation Mead has undergone over the past three decades.

While the library's mission of providing lifelong learning and access to knowledge hasn't changed, the ways Mead delivers on that promise has become more diverse.

The silent space synonymous with books has evolved into an innovative community hub offering a vast range of technological and multimedia resources, along with assorted, multiage programming.

It’s no wonder then that when you ask people what the library means to them today - oftentimes, no two people will give the same answer.

Consequently, the library’s logo doesn't focus in on any one image or subject. Instead, it features dozens of illustrations representing the multitude of activities, subjects and interests one can find within the library.

When you see the new logo, you'll find there's something there for everyone - just like the library.

We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
