Convention Registration Now Open!

On behalf of the Wyoming Meat Processors Association and the Colorado Association of Meat Processors, we would like to invite you to attend the Hands Across the Rockies Meat Processors Convention during April 5 th – 7 th in Buffalo, Wyoming. Our convention will feature processing demonstrations and key speakers to benefit meat processors across Montana, Wyoming and Colorado. Numerous supply companies are invited to attend, showcasing their processing equipment, spices, packaging materials or other supplies. Many other events are scheduled during convention. Convention Highlight Stories: Purcella's Meat Processing and Legerski's Sausage Company, LLC
Purcella’s Meat Processing in Buffalo, Wyoming, is excited to host the 2018 Hands Across the Rockies Meat Processors Convention April 5th-7th! Purcella’s Meat Processing is owned and operated by Brandon and Dallas Purcella. They operate a state inspected plant that processes beef, pork, lamb and wild game. Dallas Purcella maintains a full-time job with ADI Meetings and Events in addition to helping operate their meat processing business. Their plant has the capability to process domestic livestock during the fall game season. Additionally, they operate a retail store that offers frozen pork and beef steaks and roasts, as well as ground beef, hams, and bacon. Purcella’s hams and bacons are their best sellers!
Brandon and Dallas are huge community supporters, particularly with local sports teams, 4-H and FFA programs. Their business processes animals from several county fairs including the Sheridan, Johnson and Campbell county fairs. Brandon and Dallas Purcella would like to thank Kelcey Christensen from the University of Wyoming, Jared Hamilton at Wyoming Custom Meats, Inc., and Chad Hollenbaugh from Con Yeager Spice Company for their advice and support during the construction planning process. Brandon was able to develop his own plans for their 6,300-square foot facility. Brandon Purcella, along with local contractors, completed a lot of the construction themselves. They have been in full operation since August 2016. They are proud members of the Wyoming Meat Processors Association, the American Association of Meat Processors and the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce. Legerski’s Sausage Company, LLC., in Sheridan, Wyoming, is co-hosting the 2018 Hands Across the Rockies Meat Processors Convention April 5th-7th! Legerski’s Sausage Company, LLC., is owned and operated by Jimmy Legerski. He is excited to host a tour with appetizers on Thursday, April 5th, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. at his new location in Sheridan, Wyoming, to kick off the Hands Across the Rockies Meat Processors Convention.
Jimmy operates a Retail Sausage Company that offers several specialty sausages including Brats, Jalapeno Cheddar Brats, Habanero Pepper Jack Brats, Italian Sausage, Breakfast Sausage, Chorizo, Yakwurst, New England, Red Weenies, and several other sausages. The Polish Sausage, Red Hot Dogs, and seasonal Yagwurst products are his most popular items. Jimmy now has an online store for customers to order his Wyoming Proud, Award Winning Sausages. Additionally, his Polish, Italian and Chorizo sausages are available for wholesale distribution. 

Legerski’s Sausage Company was started in Silesia, Poland, in 1897 by Jimmy’s grandfather George J. Legerski. Between 1931 and 1954, George owned George’s Market, a grocery store and meat market in Sheridan, Wyoming, with co-owner George Urbaczka. George’s sons purchased and operated Sheridan Meat Company in 1963. They expanded their customer base to provide a variety of sausages and meat products to customers in Southern Montana and Northern Wyoming for several years. Jimmy Legerski started working with his uncle George between 2000 and 2012. Following that, Jimmy took over and changed the name of the company to Legerski Sausage Company, LLC. Jimmy is proud to be a third-generation member of his family to carry on the sausage making trade.
Legerski Sausage Company, LLC., has previously won awards at the Hands Across the Rockies Convention in several cured meat categories. To name a few, he was awarded the Grand Champion Specialty Meat, Grand and Reserve Champion Large Diameter, and the Reserve Champion Small Diameter awards.
