POWERED BY GAME CHANGERS
JANEA AND HALEIGH COX
FIGHTERS
Janea and Haleigh Cox
I am Jan?a Cox, mother of a courageous 5 year old girl. Haleigh Cox was a pretty normal infant. She loved to smile and laugh. At 8 months old she started having seizures that we could not get rid of for a few months and then they would come roaring back. We tried medicine after medicine yet the seizures still remained. My  husband and I watched her sweet smiles slowly disappear and the laughter fade away. Haleigh was maxed out on 5 different seizure meds and would sleep about 23 hours a day but still had about 100-200+ seizures a day. Our sweet little girl had slipped away from us...Janea's story does not end there. In some ways, it had just begun two parents fight for the sanctity of their daughter's life.

The turning point for that juncture in their lives was after two months in intensive care they learned the medicine that would help Haleigh and relieve her of all the harsh side effects was illegal in their state of Georgia. It is cannabis oil, which has been a miracle for Haleigh Cox. Hear more about Janea and Haleigh's move to Colorado for her treatment; their work in Georgia to help get marijuana legalized and the hope they now have to move back to Georgia and be a family again. It is all coming up on Game Changers with Lisa Faulkner!
