Meet Amya!

Amya has been a member of the Boys & Girls Club for 2 years. She is independent, responsible, and thoughtful in one. She is an active member of Aberdeen's SMART Girls program and currently serves as Secretary.  Amya loves to assist the Staff with Kindergarten and 1st graders She helps the kids stay focused and on task. Not to mention, she helps with prepping and serving dinner. She has shown tremendous growth in her leadership skills and  has taken on new responsibilities. 

She hopes her future career will be one where she can help serve the youth in her community. She hasn't decided what exactly- a teacher, a social worker, a Boys & Girls Club employee, but we're behind her every step of the way!

Amya says, "The Boys & Girls Club is important to me because I get to volunteer, helping feed the other kids dinner and helping them with their homework so they can be a better person when they leave the Club!"


We serve impact-making youth. We know Amya, and all of our other Club kids deserve the best. The unyielding support from our community has allowed us to serve thousands of youth for the past 25 years.

Help us Reach More Kids More Often

For 25 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Harford County has provided a safe place for the kids in our neighborhoods and schools. We hope to continue another 25 years, making positive strides that benefit our community and future leaders.  This past year, we served nearly 5,000 youth. The Clubs  bring opportunities in the form of caring adult relationships, daily hot meals, new opportunities and educational and character-development programs such as i3STEM, Passport to Manhood, and SMART Girls.

 

For the cost of ONE $20 dollar bill a year, our kids are put on a path to a Great Future. But the actual cost is a lot more, and we can not do it alone, please consider a gift this holiday season. During the holidays, we hope to raise enough funds to brighten the futures of 150 local children.
