Spring is now officially here, and traffic and activity in the area is noticeably picking up as it always does this time of year and there is alot to see and do!
Business After Hours is a great way to network your business, so check out the following list of After Hour Events. Along with that, the Chamber has a brand new website, and if you have not checked it out yet, please do:
There are many new features on the website, such as Google maps for all members, a Chamber event calendar listing all of our events, and soon we will be putting advertising on the site, for members only.
We are always looking for new ways to get more bang for your buck as a member of the Chamber! We know you will enjoy seeing your business on this new site! Also, our membership discount program is in its 3rd year and growing, we have had seminars on topics such as meeting facilitation and Facebook and twitter, and our Chamber Ambassadors will be stopping in to see you soon! Please let them know if you have any concerns or ideas for us - so that we can help you to find solutions!

Chamber offers Free One-On-One Mentoring for Businesses
New to our community is the organization SCORE (Service Corp of Retired Executives) and representatives of Western NC SCORE will be holding a 'Meet SCORE Day' on April 24th, from 10-12 Noon, for any business who would like free and confidential mentoring for their business. SCORE has been mentoring new and existing businesses for over 40 years and has a network of over 13,000 volunteers who donate their time to help entrepreneurs. Mentors deliver valuable, timely, and practical advice, to help your business reach new customers, and achieve new goals. All meetings are confidential. Areas covered include budgeting, planning, cash flow, customer relations, financing, legal, human resources, management, sales, marketing, social media, buying or selling a business, disaster preparation and relief, computers and technology, franchising, eCommerce, home businesses, green businesses and tax planning.
Come and connect with the SCORE team, and improve your business! Meet SCORE between 10 AM and 12 Noon April 24.
The Carolina Foothills Chamber of Commerce located at 2753 Lynn Rd, Tryon, will be hosting this event, and businesses must call and schedule a 15-20 minute private appointment to meet SCORE, at 828-859-6236.
