MEET THE NEW OWNERS OF VIEWPOINT BOOKS
Saturday April 30th the new owners of Viewpoint Books will be introduced on Independent Bookstore Day.

Although the identity of this wonderful local couple is not a secret, our staff and some others in town already know, we will not reveal their names to keep some element of surprise. We could not be more pleased with this well-know couple with deep roots in the community who are committed to carrying on and improving the legacy of Viewpoint Books. 


In addition to this happy announcement t hroughout the day there wi ll be other events  taking place.  



F or kids, we will play so me of the fun new Blue Orange Games we have recently received including our favorite Dr. Eureka. 




There will also  be merchandise  for sale created just for Independent Bookstore Day  never to be repeated, n ever online, never at chain stores including:
The "Read with Me" Curious George Plush Doll is extremely limited. This is only the second time in George's 75 years that he has worn a branded t-shirt (the other one was for Harvard, his hometown school). And what better message could there be? We will also have an author or two; confirmed at 3:00 is Nashville, Indiana's William Spencer Miller discussing and signing his autobiography, "Son of a Coal Miner's Daughter," $26.95

Bill takes us on his journey through his varied experiences as a farm boy in Brown County, Indiana to a Foreign Service Reserve Officer with the Peace Corps, a volunteer in Indonesia and Thailand, a Peace Corps director in the Kingdom of Tonga, and the Philippines.

We will learn about his new career paths and his work on the Deam Wilderness Project.
