Meet Wendy Miller

A Woman's Place (AWP)  is very fortunate to have a bounty of wonderful volunteers. Wendy Miller is one of several volunteers that help out at our Full Circle Thrift store in Chalfont. She brightens the back room, where all the sorting happens, with her smile.

Q: What's on your Bucket List?

A: I did quite a few items on it last year, but would still like to see New Zealand someday.

Q: What is something that not many people know about you?

A: I was a Physical Education teacher at CB West and "retired" to take care of my twin sons.

Q: What other things are you involved in?

A: This will be my 8th year doing the Bike MS with my husband and we will be riding from Boston to Provincetown. This year is especially meaningful because our daughter-in-law was recently diagnoised with MS. We also participate in the Bucks 5K Series that consists of 7 races for charity throughout the county and will be doing the 3rd annual Bucks County Duathlon. We belong to Lenape Valley Presbyterian Church and go on a mission trip every year. This year we are heading to an area near Austin, TX to help re-build from the devastation caused by wildfires.

Q: What is your favorite moment at AWP so far?

A: A little girl came in during one of our bag sales and she told me that getting the $5 bag was the best day of her life.

Q: Anything  you would like to share with a potential or new volunteers?

A: It is rewarding to help others and the vouchers given to AWP clients to shop at Full Circle are a wonderful thing.

Thank you Wendy for being a part of AWP and doing your part to create a safer community!
