From the first time that I started a peripheral IV on a very sick renal patient I knew that I had a talent for vascular access. The more procedures that I successfully completed, and the further that I advanced my practice, I knew that my true passion was for vascular access as well. Perfecting my practice, while providing the best evidence-based care for my patients, created the opportunity to expand my practice delivering my patients vascular access at the top of my licensure. As a member of a forward thinking Vascular Access Team nurse driven CVC placement wasn't a dream, but a reality for expanding practice, delivering exceptional patient care with published outcomes.
