It is with great pleasure, enthusiasm, and commitment to actively be involved in AVA for several years. I am confident that my years of experience in vascular access with be of great value to the Board with my experience in organizational, education, and training capabilities. I bring unique training in Vascular Access departmental startup from the initial beginning stages, training of staff, and to be the first RN in Texas to inserting IJ and axillary central lines and dialysis catheters I have been actively involved in furthering the scope of practice in teaching and training to all disciplines. My involvement on the Board will enable me to have a “voice” to share the AVA mission and be an advocate for growth and development carrying out the guidelines and standards. It would be a honor, a pleasure, and with great pride to serve as your Secretary on the Board.
