Promotion of vascular access specifically as a science that requires specialized skills, knowledge and experience is one of my primary goals. We must assure that the provision of care to our vascular needs patients is current, grounded in evidence and above all, safe. One way to accomplish this is for AVA to fully support specialized teams and relevant training by providing guidance to and by all of our partners. Members must take into consideration the knowledge base and skill level of active vascular access providers and assure all communications, guidelines, and scientific dissemination is consistent with our provider’s current situations. Through my 20 plus years of clinical experience and contributions to AVA, I feel that I am qualified to fulfill the role of Director at Large and I am most certainly committed to the mission and vision of AVA to improve patient safety and comfort and to assist in the guidance necessary to have positive outcomes. I look forward to being provided this very special opportunity to run for and serve this office.
