Welcome Summer Staff

It's summer time again, and we've got some extra hands on deck!  Some of our summer help will be specifically assigned to certain programs, others will be floating around!  Please be sure to say hi and introduce yourself!


Summer Subs


Julie Jones
Julie is a graduate of  Bloomsb urg University with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education and Special   Education and has lived  in Danville her entire life.  She currently is a teacher in a local school district and  loves teach ing children and enjoys watching them develop and grow. In her free time, she likes to swim, do arts/crafts and knit.  She is looking forward to working with you and your child.

  
 
 
Kelly DeGuzis
Kelly has worked at DCDC for over 10 years beginning as a substitute while in college and now rejoins our Summer SACK program each summer.  She graduated from Bloomsburg University with a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Educational Technology. She currently teaches at St. Joseph School during the school year.  




Katelyn Maffei 
Katie is 19 and an Early Childhood/Special Education major at Misericordia University.  She loves the fun, energetic, fast paced environment of working with children.  In her free time she loves to run, read, and hike. She has 2 sisters, 2 brothers, a fish named hulk, and a dog name Tim. 
 
 




Abigail Bausch
Abby grew up in Sunbury, PA and is currently attending Waynesburg University majoring
in Early Childhood Education with Special Education.  She enjoys camping and being with  h er dog Eva.   She is very excited to be working here, and cannot wait to see where the future takes her!
 



Hailey Spina
Hailey is a junior at Bloomsburg University studying Early Childhood Education.  From Syracuse, New York, in her free time, she likes to hang out with friends, swim, ski in the winter, and read. She has two Jack Russell Terriers who are full of energy. She  chose to work at DCDC because she loves children and feels she will gain more experience and knowledge to apply in her future career. 


Alexis Patterson
Alexis is from Danville and graduated from Danville Area High School in 2015. She currently attends Bloomsburg University with a major in Communication Studies and a minor in dance. She is also a contemporary dance instructor with the Komotion Dance Program and has been teaching for 2 years. She enjoys going to the gym, kayaking, hiking, swimming, and spending time with family and friends.  Alexis is also a DCDC/SACK alumni and is excited to be starting her second year with the summer SACK program.
