Greetings!

We are so incredibly thrilled to introduce our 500th Sponsor Dog, Thalia!  In November 2012 we sponsored our 
and in a few short months we have already sponsored 100 more dogs, thanks to your support.

Meet our 500th Sponsor Dog, Thalia
Thalia's DogMother got laid off earlier this year and was having a difficult time finding work.  She is the only source of income to pay her mortgage, and feared losing her home.  Then, Thalia ingested an unidentified object requiring emergency surgery to remove the object from her intestines.

Her DogMother had already spent a full month's mortgage payment on Thalia's diagnostics and was out of money and options.  The cost of the operation threatened Thalia's DogMother's financial situation even more and she was desperate to avoid surrendering Thalia to a shelter.  The situation was dire and Thalia's life was in danger.  They needed help.  
Thalia's health situation was incredibly precarious, so much so that her veterinarian insisted on performing her surgery immediately, during the blizzard, even offering to WALK to the vet office to perform the surgery so Thalia would survive.  We sponsored a portion of Thalia's life-saving surgery, performed during blizzard Nemo, and she spent her recovery at home with her DogMother where she belongs!
 
Your donations go directly toward helping keep dogs like Thalia from being surrendered to shelters when their DogParents fall on tough times.

 Pet First Aid Class Fundraiser

Do you know what to do if your dog has an emergency?

 

Learn how to respond to health emergencies and provide basic first aid for the canine members of your family. Preparation will help you be calm and effective in an emergency, protecting you and your animal from further injury or suffering. 

 

Join us for an amazing pet first aid class generously hosted and facilitated by Vetcision Animal Hospital in Waltham.  

 

This course is a must for anyone who loves their pet and wants to know how to handle situations requiring first aid.  And 100% of the class tuition will go to benefit Fairy Dogparents!

 

Date: Wednesday, March 27

Time: 6:30pm

Where: Vetcision, 293 2nd Ave.,Waltham, MA

Cost: $25

Course length: Around 2 hours
