  Mrs. Michelle Burt
Michelle Burt, Director Women's  Oasis Program

I am a Texas Native, I have been married for 25 years and have three kids and I am blessed with three grandchildren. I attended Howard College.

In Denver I worked in a nonprofit organization that worked with at risk youth teaching character education and life skills during school and mentored and led bible studies after school.  As program coordinator for 12 years I had the pleasure of doing life with over 120 students yearly.  As a facilitator for WAIT Training program (Why Am I Tempted Abstinence Program) and also 7 Habits of Highly Effective teens students were exposed to different Leadership Opportunities.

In moving to Dallas I excepted a position with Volunteers of America Texas  as a Prevention Specialist working with At Risk Youth and their Families in Ft Worth.  I prayed for 2 years for a position in Ministry where I could share the gospel freely and the Lord heard my prayer and here I am!

Meet our Volunteer Jerry Martin our Professional Photographer

Jerry, grew up in Ohio, the son of a pastor and oldest of six children. His love for photography began when his father loaned him his Argus C3 film camera to take pictures at the Youth for Christ Capital Teen Convention in Washington DC in 1960. He documented family and Youth for Christ events through high school and college. Upon college graduation he served as Youth for Christ director and later as Minister of Education Minister for churches in California, Arizona and Texas.

Jerry’s continued photography interest has led him to nine years with the Dallas Camera Club, serving as the membership chair for two years and the president for three years. He also does free-lance event photography, photographic art photography and works with Showcase Photographers for realtors.

Jerry and his lovely wife, Norma, have three children and seven grandchildren. Jerry and Norma are active members of their Life Group (Sunday School Class) at Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall, Texas.

“Reconciliation Outreach has become very special to the Martin family, as we have had many opportunities to work with them and see them work with ones we love.”

 Meet Judy and John Martin
Judy is Volunteering her expertise by Proof Reading and Editing our Monthly Newsletter.

I grew up in Michigan in a Christian home, always believing in God, but not until I was 29 did I understand about having a relationship with Christ as my Savior.  From that point on, I have been in awe of the gift of God’s Grace and Christ’s Sacrifice.  I pray I will always continue to grow in my walk with the Lord. I have lived in Dallas for the past 40 years and have been married to my husband, John, for 37 years.  We have two grown daughters and four grandchildren – all of whom are the light of my life.  We are blessed to know that our daughters and their husbands are believers and very active in their churches.  I have been involved in the real estate world for the past 40 years and along the way had done some editing for friends who have written books.  When I shared that experience with Faith, she asked if I would like to help out with editing the RO Newsletter.  Having been familiar with RO and Dorothy Moore for quite some time I was thrilled  to help.  As I have gotten to know more about the programs within the ministry I have been so impressed with the many lives they are effected.
