Activating your UniWeb eCV

The Faculty of Medicine has recently hired 3 Data Entry Clerks and is currently working on the migration of Faculty Members’ CVs into Uni Web eCV. For more details, please refer to the email that was sent to you by Stephanie Pilon regarding your Account Activation.

PetalMD is a personalized, automated scheduling tool which is currently being implemented at the Bruyère and Primrose units. The software will soon be used across all DFM teaching units to provide real-time, mobile, centralized scheduling. Visit their website , or watch their introductory webinar for more information. As part of our residency program, residents participate in Simulated Office Orals (SOOs) to help them prepare for their CFPC examination. After years of paper rubrics and lengthy manual data entry, it was time to get online!

The DFM’s Dr. Rene Leiva is conducting a study to gather important information about the use of home-based urinary tests to confirm ovulation. We are looking for participants in the Ottawa-Gatineau region to take part for one menstrual cycle in a study. Read more

Staffing Changes

Congratulations to Dr. Alison Eyre , who was successful in her promotion to Associate Professor.
Catherine O’Neil will take over from Alan Archer as the Winchester Coordinator when Alan steps down in a few weeks. We wish to thank Alan for his tremendous assistance and contributions to our program, and extend a warm welcome to Catherine.

Cynthia Irving has replaced Renelle Trépanier as the Finance Officer while she is on maternity leave.

Thirteen second year medical students from our Francophone stream attended the Symposium étudiants sur la médecine familiale of the Université Laval a few weeks ago.
