The Episcopal Diocese of Texas has called the Rev. Lisa Neilson to serve as the Curate-Missioner at Texas A&M and Blinn, and she has accepted the call!
Meet the Rev. Lisa Neilson
Hello! I am Lisa Neilson and I will graduate from Virginia Theological Seminary with an M.Div. in May 2016.  I am very excited about being called to serve as the Curate-Missioner at Texas A&M.

I grew up and was confirmed in the Diocese of Colorado.  I graduated from Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY where I was active in the Episcopal Campus Ministry.  After graduating from college, I served in the US as an Army Logistics Officer for nine years.  After leaving the Army, I  went to work for the BNSF Railway in Fort Worth, TX until I moved to Virginia to attend seminary full time.  My home parish is St. Martin’s in the Fields in Keller, Texas in the Diocese of Fort Worth.  At St. Martin’s, I served the church in many capacities including Sunday School teacher, Lay Eucharistic Minister, Acolyte, Altar Guild, Vestry and Senior Warden.  My husband, Bob, and I have two adult children, Heather and Ian.   Heather and her husband Jeremy live in Fort Worth and have a son and daughter, Caleb and Peyton.  Ian is a student at the University of North Texas.  I am looking forward to meeting everyone and working with you to grow our college ministry!
