The Columbia community has come to a crucial point in the history of the college. Both adjunct and staff unions are negotiating contracts with the administration, faculty are concerned with a lack of transparency in recent college decision-making, students are upset about tuition hikes and potential program closures.
Everyone is concerned about the impact of restructuring the college at a time when the majority of the college's employees are in open contract negotiations.
P-fac is pursuing multiple strategies, including legal protections through the National Labor Relations Board, to uphold our contract and to enforce federal labor law.
Have you lost classes? Will you be eligible for back pay? Have you recently been evaluated? Are you concerned about quality of education?
