How to Help
We have plenty of areas where we need help to make mountain biking better in the Tahoe Area.

-Trail Work Volunteers

-Help with food donations and lunch transport for Trail Days.

-Project Managers- Have an idea?  Willing to put in the work on it?  We also have several projects that could use help to divide the load.

-Donations of prizes for Trail Days and other events.

-Photographers to document trail work days and rides.

- Graphic Design assistance for layout and other artwork.

-Ride Leaders

-Trail Angels to help with logistics and shuttles for TAMBA rides.

-Grant Writer

-Fundraising Coordinator

Reminder of our TAMBA meeting, Wednesday, March 27 at 6:30pm.  We will be meeting at the Tunnel Creek Cafe at Tunnel Creek Road and Hwy 28 in Incline Village, NV.

Our supporters are frickin' awesome!  In the last week, we've gone from last place up to a solid second place and still climbing in the Flow Trail Category of the Bell Built Grant.  Thank you to everyone that has voted!  Please keep the buzz going to vote for Corral Trail and share it with your friends.  See below for more info.

Slots are still available in the upcoming Crew Leader and Sawyer Trainings.  The dates for both classes are listed in the sidebar as well as the required First Aid and CPR courses. All classes will be provided for free to TAMBA volunteers.  If you are interested, please reply to this e-mail to sign up.  We need Crew Leaders to support Trail Days and Sawyers to keep the trails clear.  This is a great way to give back.

Have you voted yet?
Corral Jump Line
Please cast your vote for Corral Trail to be a recipient of the Bell Built Grant. Bell Helmets is awarding $100,000 to 3 different bike projects. Corral is the only project in California to make the finals.  Winning will allow us to build all the proposed features on this favorite Nor Cal trail. Once built, Corral Trail will be a model for how trails with mountain bike features can legally be built in public forests around the country and show a positive partnership with the US Forest Service. Vote on Facebook by selecting Flow Trail Projects, choosing Corral Trail and clicking on "Submit your Vote". It takes about 3 minutes to vote but you could be enjoying the fruits of that labor for years if we win the grant!

There have been several issues reported from people trying to vote.  Here's what we have figured out:

Yes, it's an app, but please don't let that deter you.  Bell stated on their FB page that they only capture enough info to verify that each account (e-mail address) votes once.  We haven't heard any reports of misuse of info and I can think of many popular apps that track a heck of a lot more info.

The voting app is not supported by mobile platforms.  So if you're on your phone and don't have a fancy browser that fools a website into thinking you're a computer, it won't work.

When you try to vote you get the "white screen".  This seems to be during periods of high activity.  Clicking back to the main page and re-entering the voting page a minute later seems to work or Ctrl+F5 to refresh the page has been reported to work in some browsers as well.

If you haven't voted yet, hopefully this info helps you. If you have voted, thank you and please spread the word on Facebook and get your riding friends in on this.  Let's keep this momentum going and rock this vote!

TAMBA Trail Day- Whites Creek- April 6

The snow is melting off, the lower trails are starting to be ridden, it's time for us to get to work!  The first TAMBA Trail Day of the season is Saturday, April 6 working on the Whites Creek Trail in Galena.  We'll be fixing some damage from the winter storms, re-routing an eroding section of trail away from the creek and legitimizing a log ride-over to make it more solid and a permanent feature.   Meet at 9am at the Whites Creek Day Use Parking lot up the road from Timberline Drive.  Wear long pants, long sleeves, and sturdy shoes and bring water and snacks.  Lunch and post work refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP on our facebook event so we can plan tools and food. There will be a second Trail Day at the same place on May 5 to do another re-route and build a "switchberm".

Happy Trails!
