IPE Student Project pairs students with local non-profit agencies
The IPE Student Project, hosted by the Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance (MVA), provides an opportunity for students from various health programs to collaborate with non-profit organizations in a real world setting. In all, 28 students from 11 programs and five institutions worked with the following MVA Community Partners:

  • St. Luke's Community House
  • Urban Housing Solutions
  • Dismas House
  • Oasis Center

Advancing CEnR Conference brings together researchers and community advocates

All too often, community and research are disconnected. Clinical studies move forward with little to no input from the populations they impact, and local voices are left out of the conversation. The Advancing the Science of Community Engaged Research Conference intends to change that.

Healthcare Without Walls offers innovative model to provide care for individuals experiencing homelessness

Linda Cundiff, RN, MSN has spent her career working to improve the health of underserved populations. As the Chief Operating Officer of  Health Care Without Walls (HCWW), she works within an innovative model of free health care and support for homeless women and children in the Greater Boston area.

Meharry and Vanderbilt students return to the field for second soccer exhibition

Students from Meharry Medical College and Vanderbilt University Medical Center met at the Vanderbilt Recreation Center on October 13, 2017, for the Meharry-Vanderbilt Student Alliance's (MVSA) second soccer exhibition. The game brought together roughly 50 students from both institutions.
