The Wine Wave
The next time you are strolling down east Atlantic Avenue, be sure to stop in at The Wine Wave!  Sample a new wine, attend a wine tasting or consider hosting an event there!
The Wine Wa ve, a premier wine store, provides a great place to purchase wine, craft beer, champagne and liquor. The Wine Wave opened in June 2013 by owners Lindsey Gasparini and Jeremiah Flores.   Their goal is to create a luxury wine shop with a comfortable atmosphere offering unique, high-quality and competitively priced wines.

Locally owned yet globally sourced, they strive to curate a unique wine collection  featuring small production, biodynamic and sustainably farmed as well as highly sought after producers, brands and winemakers.   The selection isn't typical and likely not found in a typical grocery store or big box brands.   Through their hand-picked selections, customized events and flexible service, they are focused on finding the wines that fit your palate, personality and style preference.

OUR MEMBERS HAVE  it AND WE WANT TO SHARE it
Since this Member Mentions newsletter is all about our members, we certainly want to recognize the passing of an active member of our Chamber and our Community - Vince Canning.

Vince Canning moved to Delray Beach in 1957 to own and operate his father's shoe store at 335 E. Atlantic Avenue.  Over the years he was very active in the downtown area and in many charitable organizations.  He not only believed in giving back - he was passionate about it.

Through his leadership, Vince Canning Shoes has sponsored over 50 local football, softball, soccer and lacrosse teams in the area; donated thousands of dollars for Rotary International and Kiwanis's International towards college scholarships for high school students; and has raised over $160,000 for the Achievement Center for Children & Families.  Vince Canning, Jr. served as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce in 1963 and was named 2011 - 2012 Chamber Lifetime Achievement Award Winner. The Lifetime Achievement Award is presented by the Chamber of Commerce for unprecedented devotion of time, talent and commitment to the community of Delray Beach.

Vince will be greatly missed by our community.
